A quick glance at the basics: Oil, Brakes, Tires & Battery
Your Mileage Does Vary
Basic maintenance items are time and mileage dependent, and those emails you might get from your mechanic trying to predict your current mileage are usually wrong. So CARPORT lets you have a quick glance at your basics based on your actual use.
Service Rings
With a service ring for each item, we help you keep track of when you last had a basic service:
Oil: The rings track both age (time) and mileage. The mileage and date are automatically updated as you enter maintenance events.
Brakes: The ring tracks mileage since your last service. The ring is automatically updated as you enter maintenance events.
Tires: We encourage you to enter the manufacture date of your tires, because rubber does turn to plastic.
Battery: We encourage you enter the install mm/yy for the battery
At present the rings are hard coded, but soon you will be able to adjust the service rings to your preference, with each car managed independently.
What About OEM Suggested Intervals?
They’re coming soon to CARPORT, so if your vehicle is not so vintage, and your OEM publishes suggested service intervals you’ll be able to track when you are approaching those events as well.
